Scroll down to Pay from Your Bank Account or Pay by Debit Card, Credit Card

You can choose “Direct Pay (Bank account)” (NO Fee) for your payment or “By Card or Digital Wallet” (there is a fee for this method).

Reason for Payment is ESTIMATE PAYMENT

Apply Payment to “1040ES (for 1040, 1040A, 1040EZ)”

Tax Period for Payment is the year for which the payment is due. For example, for a 2024 estimated tax payment , the tax period would be 2024.

You will need your tax return from a previous year to verify your identity, the website will ask for the following information from the tax year you choose:

Filing status in that year

Your name and address

Your SSN

Your birthdate

Enter your payment information

Please record any verification information, in case needed at a later date to look up a payment

You can choose “Debit or Credit Card” ($0.75 plus 2.25% of payment amount fee) or “E-Check” ($1 Fee) for your payment.

Enter the taxpayer’s name and then click “NEXT” to add the payment you wish to make Click “Add a Payment” and enter the information in all fields

Account type is “Individual Income Tax”

Payment Type is “Estimated Payment”

Enter the amount to be paid ID

Type is “Social Security Number”

Filing Period is the last date of the tax period for which the payment is due.

For example, for a 2024 tax estimated payment, the filing period would be 12/31/2024.

Click the “Pay Online” button and complete the information for the payment
